Just returned home last night and had a wonderful time! The hotel was great! Right on the beach, a great view from the room, always clean, great service--there was always someone around and easy to find to get extra towels, extra packs of coffee, blankets, etc. Great location, we walked to the Hangout, dinner at Mike's Seafood, and to shop. Only time we drove was to go play putt-putt golf. Would definitly stay again and recommend to anyone. Smokers beware: If you are in a non-smoking room, it includes the balconies too. The hotel charges a $*cleaning fee for smoking in the room or on the balcony. But, they do have plenty of smoking rooms and as soon as you come off the elevator you are on the beach so it shouldn't be too much of an issue (it wasn't for hubbie, anyway).

It all started when we checked in, the desk clerk acted like it was an imposition to help me and my husband. We were asked to initial the bill where in very small print was made reference to room / balcony clean up fees. Nothing was explained about these fees other than initial here. proceeded to the room which was ok if the rate was 1/2 the price. Bed was great, coffee was ok and in house restaurant was a joke. I expected to pay for a beach view, but also expected the service and accomodations to equal the price of the room. This hotel is in serious need of an overhaul starting with the employees. Upon check out we were presented with a fine for smoking on the balcony!!! i will be sure to tell anyone who asks about our trip, stay anywhere other than this sad excuse for a best western.

Nice room with kitchenette. Great view, on beautiful wide white sand beach. Narrow balcony where you can eat and just look out on the gulf. Clean comfortable room, Good emplyees, nice, helpful. polite. Wonderful breakfast restarant on site, we ate way too much, ithe waffles were delicious. Bathroom VERY small. If you want to cook, bring your own pots and such.

Checked in was at 3pm but we got there at 1pm and they let us right in. The room was very clean and the beds were so comfortable. They kept us supplied with fresh white fluffy towels and kept that sand that you inevitably tracked into the room vacuumed up. We had a flat screen t.v., small cabinet fridge and microwave, but we didn't use it. One of the bonuses that this Best Western had was the Island Pancake House down on the bottom floor. It was fabulous and we didn't have to go anywhere else to eat. They also served lunch but we never tried it. Some covered parking, but all the parking places were very close to the hotel so not a problem.

The foom was very dirty. I booked a no smoking room and the room reaked of smoke. no one would do anything about it!! There was sand in th bathtub from the previous visitors. Tried to get into my room early due to sick child, but because I had a "reservation' i could not. Would never stay there agin.
